Dead Sea, lambda print on aluminium, 4 m x 1,20 m, Jerusalem, 2011

Both works „Dead Sea” and „a² b²“ use the photographic medium to create a floor and room installation. By employing different techniques the images were laminated or transferred onto aluminium. These techniques, as well as the division into symmetric strips create broken, seemingly „diluted” images. Represented are the Israeli landscapes: the Dead Sea, the Negev Desert and Masada.

What do we see when we observe a landscape that seems familiar to us from the outset through the many accounts and representations that exist of the place?
